Watching fireworks at the Aquatic Park in SF is a tricky thing because it's just east of the Golden Gate, so the fog tends to hang out there even when other areas are perfectly clear. This night the fog gave a ceiling of just a few hundred feet. The choice was either shoot the fireworks up into the fog for a pastel show, without much definition, or fire them off about as low as possible. They did the latter. So here's a fireworks show that's about as low as it gets, literally.
